According to James 4:2-3, we want what we don’t have, so we scheme and kill to get it. We are jealous of what others have, but we can’t get it, so we fight and wage war to take it away from them. Yet we don’t have what we want because we don’t ask God for it. 3 And even when we ask, we don’t get it because our motives are all wrong—we want only what will give us pleasure. What does one add to that? I found out that when we don’t ask we tend to desire being cared for and expect people who care about us to dream or guess, even…

Overcome your worries
“In a world of endless “what ifs” and always changing “what nows,” it’s easy to focus on our circumstances. We allow the bad medical report, the failing economy, the increased violence on the news to plant seeds of fear and worry in our lives. That’s the danger of worry. It grows and takes up precious space in our hearts and minds. There is good news too. There is something we can do that not only defeats worry, it takes its place. We can choose to take our eyes off of our wavering circumstances, and instead focus on the one who never changes. This is what happens when we pray. In…

Strength, Power, Mighty
The joy of the Lord is your strength. (Neh 8:10) The LORD is my strength (Exodus 15:2) and His strength and power makes my way perfect. JULY; First Entry… Birthday week
July 1st was my birthday, the excitement; i was walking on the moon… This was a landmark for me, a new season was starting. The positioning of this day was a blessing to me, it was a Monday. It gave me a chance to close a season with prayer and begin a new one in prayer. Sunday 31st found me in church, i was thanking God for the last years, for the friends, for work, for life, for protection, for peace, for kindness, for favor and above all for salvation. I prayed for my new year, asked for all that i needed, prayed for all that i wanted to see come to…

Wholesomeness of Words
I tend to think about what people always say to others and how all that is said impacts others. My Bible says a lot about words, the tongue and the mouth. Sitting here and thinking about a versus that I read in Ephesians 4:29 which says: “Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear” This verse has stopped me from saying a lot today. I had to evaluate whatever I was about to say or tweet. Was it called for? Was it going…
