Its 5:30am…. I am in tears, my phones and laptops are gone and my house door is wide open.

Is it a dream? It must be a dream, one that I will wake up from calling Jesus as I tend to do most times. But it is not a dream, its reality, I have been robbed!

Wait it must be a prank, Mr. must be playing one of those pranks he tends to pull on me. No! Mr. is not pranking me, he is also looking at me with questioning eyes of ‘you didn’t, did you? Did finally get one passed me?’

We were robbed at around 3 am on Thursday nite after failing asleep at 1 am, as we slept deeply in each other’s arms.We were so deep in sleep that we didn’t hear the thief take the laptop and phone from under our bed nor did we hear him take the phone from the TV stand in the same room. Not a sound was heard when he unplugged the laptop from its cables in the sitting room.

We were so comfortable in our sleep that when the door lock dropped as the thief opened our main door, we heard nothing nor did we hear his footsteps as he ran away after securing his loot, leaving it open.

At 5am when I woke well rested and ready to dedicate my day in God’s hands,  did he show me what he had already done for us. We were robbed but the miracle was that WE WERE NOT HARMED!

With all the angry and pain of losing what many consider to be my life, I had my life. God was telling me that its HIM who protects, its HIM who watches over us, its HIM who secures, its HIM who gives sleep, its all about HIM!

So who protects you while you sleep?

A home in Kiwatule was robbed and the lady owner was raped with her maid. Another one in Minister’s village was robbed and the husband was beaten for having his car equipped with a tracking system.

But we were left to rest comfortably in each other arms and enjoying our sweet dreams.

God Protects Me and Mine!

  1. Wow Patricia!

What a powerful way to take back what’s yours and give glory to God!

We were not given a spirit of fear but of power, love and sound mind. These things will be restored to you sevenfold.

Sorry about the shitty experience, though. It is always losing our personal stuff that hurts when we get robbed.

  2. Babe, I m sorry this happened to you. I can relate with your bewilderment. It happened to our home, twice last year and I am still traumatised from waking up in the middle of the night to the sight of a naked man in my bedroom. I have never had easy sleep again.
Praise the Lord who shielded you from the terrors that luck in the night and so sorry about your everything. May God restore your inner peace.

Ps. Find another house or get an askari, they always come back. :/

    1. Wanji? A naked man? Banange was he a night dancer or a thief?
I am looking for a new house now, you can help if you know of any that is new the main road… but God is fair He will see me through this.

  3. Oh my!

    God indeed does protect.
So thankful that your life was spared & protected.

We pray that God continues to protect and cover us.
And that God would hold those people accountable.
