A new infographic has been published by Finances Online regarding the things we look for on social media and segmented them between genders.
We all know why we are on social, why we engage with it the way we do, but do you know that we differ in the way we use it and what we look for when we are there.
Alex Hillsberg and David Adelman say that men are more likely to use social media for business and dating, while women look for relationships, sharing, entertainment, and self-help.
Also you remember my blog about Mobile adverts, this infographic says that women ignore paid advertising more often than men, but this topic I will tackle some other time.
So what do we do on social? Me as a woman I look for information, play games, chat and all these activities fall in the category of visiting websites, downloading apps (I do this a lot and then i get tired of them and delete them) and camera use.
Below is the infographic, you can study it and see….

question then… How do I get the women to pay more attention to my social ads, but also get the men to be more interactive on social media platforms?
For men you need to talk business, use what they are willing to discuss about to get them involved and engaged. The ladies doesn’t need ads, you need to get one influential women to talk about your product to her friends or followers online and they will follow. Women love recommendations from friends in regard to products so use that.
