Do you know this? 30% of children do not have access to safe water. 60% of children live more than a 30 minutes trip from the nearest water source. Only 4 in every 50 households have a hand washing facility with soap and water. 8% of mothers of under 5 year old children have soap and water readily available for hand washing. AND my personal favorite; 3 out of 10 households don’t have a latrine. A few weeks ago I attended the launch of the Situation Analysis of Children in Uganda report at Golf course hotel organized by UNICEF Uganda, and I got to understand that many children in this country(The pearl of Africa) have never realized some of their rights.
