Short Stories

Stay Away

I had stayed away

Away from the desire to indulge in your seduction

Away from your sweet juicy words and promises

Promises that are never fulfilled but easily said

Promises with no roots, that weather in minutes

Minutes that have me would if time matters

Minutes never regained, yielded nothing.

I was might to stay away

Away from the draining need to embrace you

Away from the captivity that comes with your smile

Smile so dangerous insect flees

Smile of all gifts, He gave in abundance

Abundance is what I longed for

Abundance is what you can’t provide.

I was to stay away

Away from the evil that plunges my being

Away from woes rose with pain

Pain you inflict

Pain you enjoy to dish

Dish more delicious to you than beef

Dish my body is beef

I will now stay away

Away from being a punching bag

Away from the heartbreaks

Heartbreaks kill the soul

Heartbreaks destroy the body

Body mind and soul

Body needs reconstruction.

I am away!
