Sometimes or many times it will not go as you had planned, when you start something the forces of evil and good meet among themselves to support or frustrate your efforts to make you fail or succeed.

I started on an income saving journey two weeks ago aiming to get Pallet furniture for my living room using Delayed Gratification habits and SMART techniques, but the evil forces got me.

With 300,000Ugshs saved away in two weeks, I have to start again because that money has to fund an emergency. Just as everything else in life, savings for something has challenges too, you will get eluded from your goal but don’t give up. Start again, remember why you started in the first place, why it’s important that you get the desired items you are savings for.

Hardships, setbacks and challenges are lessons that help us overcome some or all of our limitations. – pkahill

Other than emergencies, there are other common financial challenges that hinder people from taking on the saving challenge like;

  • The idea that one earns little money and thus can’t afford to save,
  • That one is overwhelmed with debts, hence no money to save,
  • And the lack of time and knowledge to manage themselves to achieve the set saving goal.

The idea that one needs to cut down on everything in order to save. Barclays has a savings calculator that shows you just how cutting out one small expense can save you so much in the long run.

There is this site that offers some insightful ways and knowledge to overcome these limitations, check it out here, it has been so helpful to me.

So, I am not afraid of this new presented challenge of starting over, I trust my saving plan it will help achieve my target; saving 150, 000ugshs per week after every bill is paid, other personal savings and payments fulfilled is a good plan.
