Setting savings goals and achieving them means one needs to acquire a degree of self-control, strength and advice. These are most important because they make the journey easy.

Others invest in research and learning new ways and skills to equip them with the necessary knowledge to achieve those goals or targets.

When I embarked on a saving challenge under the #AfricaSaves Barclays bank campaign as documented in these blog posts  Delay GratificationSMARTFacing ChallengesGetting back on Track and The Journey to Achieving Your Target; the need to up my game and stay motivated rose to levels that required me to find resources that could help me stay on track.

I almost lost focus on my target with the desire to spend more than necessary, but the availability of the below videos resources from Barclays bank were of great encouragement and motivation to keep me focused on my target and on track.

To hit my final milestone in this saving challenge, I have started looking at Pallet designs, the different kind of materials that I could use as mattress covers. Paying a deposit at the Pallet store and sharing my plans with the carpenter will serve as a blanket to make sure that I don’t spend that money elsewhere.

And finally, I don’t want to be among those Millennials who spend money on unnecessary items as the video says . It’s those small expenses that make all the difference in a saving journey.

My saving challenge which aims at styling up my sitting room with Pallet Furniture, with a set cash saving of 1,500,000 Ugshs has now a stash of 1,000,000 Ugshs.
