Just. Begin!

You will make mistakes.

You might fall on your face…and guess what? That’s OK.

That’s how we learn to do better.

And guess what else? At least you’ll know you gave it your best and tried.

Go for it.

Today I landed on my face literally…in regard to a project I was working on. I felt like staying on the ground and digging deep into the ground so that I can be buried with my failure.

I buried myself inside as I got encouragement from those who believed in me to raise again. I didn’t want to hear it. It was my fault. No good words were supposed to be directed my way. I had failed. With all the assurance I had given everyone, I had landed face flat. I had failed to keep my word.

For a week I had been preparing and planning, documenting and complying. I had done all the necessary things to make today a success, and knew I was setting and ready for my victory. Only for a one little tiny detail in my paper work to bury my week’s work. That kind of detail that changes everything.

And time was running out.

As I longed for my bed where comfort lies and freedom to curse myself was open to me. As my eyes started to get wetly in between words of comfort from my mother and sister, I remembered the above quote from a Pinterest post I had seen earlier. My mood started to light up.

You see you will fail all time, you will fall from your throne of glory to desiring to be buried and hidden away from the world; but it will not stay with you if you don’t let it. You need to record failures and falls for your success to be strong. For your testimony to manifest God’s power in you and around you.

As I write this I am starting again,  making it better because I see the things I missed and the things I need to replace and improve for my project paperwork to be better and competitive. I have less time but this is like retaking a course you were passing but missed the exam.

hope

I encourage you, don’t fall and stay on the ground. Don’t fail and think you are finished. Don’t give the devil the chance to preach to you about your weakness and your lack of a future because all those are lies. The devil will take any opportunity presented to him to discourage you and kill your progress.

Stay focused on the Al-mighty who knows your future and His calm voice that says it is going to be better.
