As earlier blogged I joined the Blogging University and promised to keep you updated with the assignment from the moderators. I failed to make due yesterday, it was a major day for my day two started project. Happiness and excitement took over, I forget about this.

Anyway day two assignment was to edit one’s title and tagline on their blog. This includes the blog site’s address. It should be known that an address is not what one registered at WordPress.com or at any other blog space, but rather your blog’s title — what readers see on your site when they visit.

This is important because the title is the first thing most readers will see, your title and tagline work with elements like your address and theme to give visitors context and help them decide to stick around. (Do tell what you think about mine)

To those who wanted to know how they can join the university, this what Michelle our class moderator said;

Registration for this month is closed and all courses are underway, but they can see what’s coming next and register for any March courses they’re interested in at http://bloggingu.wordpress.com.

Day Three, which is today has us saying hello to our neighbors. We were requested to engage with the blogging community and our first step is to build an audience. Why would they spend time reading our blogs?

We are to learn that the idea of blogging is not only to publish but also to engage with the community because blogs are considered to inspire and sharpen one’s thoughts.

Part of what makes blogging a rich experience are the relationships we develop with people around the world. And this only happens when we engage and reach out to other bloggers.

We were offered guidelines/steps on how this can be done like;

  • Finding people we want to connect with.
  • Follow topics we care about to discover a world of blogs.

On the last step WordPress.com Reader, and I think BlogSpot offers topics that are organized using tags, we advised to check them out to guide us.

Hope this is helpful to you.

May God have be your guide and His Holy Spirit encourage you today.
